How do I get there?

If you are out of state and too far to drive, you will likely fly into either San Antonio or Austin. San Antonio airport is between 36-45 minutes in clear traffic, and Austin is over an hour away.

There will be volunteers available to shuttle you from the airport. As we get closer to the event, we will send out a form to secure flight information from you, and schedule the appropriate pickups.

What is the Process of Purchasing Tickets and Registration?

Typically, the order is as follows:

  1. Fill out The Journey Registration Form.

  2. After you have completed the registration and purchased your tickets, you will receive an email with the following information: counselor/therapist release forms, payment plans (if you paid only a deposit), homework to complete before The Journey, schedules, and purchasing a single room.

  3. Please be aware that in order to attend an OHM-led Journey Continues, you must first have attending an OHM-led Journey Begins.

May I set up a payment plan?

Yes, we have an option where you may make 5 equal payments of $340 for a total of $1700.

Even if you do not see a deposit option in the event ticket options, you may inquire about a unique payment plan for you.

Are there scholarships available?

Yes. Although scholarships are limited, we do provide scholarship help to several people each Journey. To request a scholarship, please text 269.389.9491 to be sent the Scholarship Request Form.

What does The Journey in Texas include?

The Journey in Texas is All-Inclusive.

The cost of the ticket includes the price of meals and lodging for the event between the start time and ending time (approx. 12:00pm on Sunday and checkout the following Friday). If you need to arrive early (Saturday night), you will need to secure lodging in the area, and we can coordinate shuttles to the event location.

Meals & Accomodations

May I request special dietary considerations?

Meals are provided by the staff and requests may be submitted on The Journey Registration Form. Options include paleo, vegetarian, diabetic, and food allergies among others. If you don’t see your option, click the “Other” button and enter your specific needs.

Where are meals served?

They are served in the cafeteria.

The Journey tickets include all the costs of meals and lodging between lunch (12:00 pm) on Sunday and check-out on Friday.

May I request a roommate?

You may request a roommate on The Journey Registration Form.

May I request a single room or get additional lodging at The Journey in Texas?

Single rooms are $150 extra if space permits. We will gauge the availability based upon the number of registrations. If we are able to release single rooms, they will become available around March 1. If you need additional lodging (i.e. Saturday night before the event), you will need to secure lodging at a local hotel. For this event, OHM has secured a block of rooms at a hotel nearby the San Antonio airport and will run two shuttles on Sunday morning, March 30 to the event location. Information will be sent via the email you provide on your registration.

Amenities & What to Bring

What should I bring?

Common items that participants bring are pen or pencil, a writing journal, a Bible, devotional and at least one childhood picture (The Journey Continues participants may want to bring a collection of pictures). At The Journey, there is a celebration at the end. Some people enjoy dressing up for that event, so you may bring something a little fancier. Otherwise, we recommend that you dress comfortably as much of your time is spent seated in either teaching sessions or in a small group setting. You will want to be as comfortable as possible.

What is provided?

Conference materials, including a Journey guide.

Will I need to walk anywhere?

Yes, although not a tremendous distance. You will need to walk between your room and the meeting rooms. If you require additional help to safely and comfortably get to your destinations, please let us know.

What amenities are available at John Newcombe Tennis Ranch?

You may view the Meetings/Retreats page on the website. This page is for informational purposes only (OHM will coordinate your lodging preferences with the staff).
